Ayrshire Housing is a leading housing provider and registered charity. Our turnover is £6.8 million and this year we have invested £1.6 million by adding to our stock and in improving the quality of our existing houses. Our development projects have been widely recognised for the quality of their design. We complement this with a long-term commitment to friendly customer focused management. We extend our impact in the wider community through support for housing support, community development and training initiatives.
Our Board structure is based on a partnership of our tenants, South Ayrshire Council and Ayrshire’s communities. We wish to recruit committed and knowledgeable individuals for four vacancies in our community category. We are particularly interested to hear from people with an interest and/or experience in housing and social affairs, or with the financial knowledge to contribute to the supervision of a significant not for profit company. The positions are subject to election by our community members. There is also one place available in the tenants section. All the positions are unpaid although travelling expenses are refundable. Attendance at up to ten evening meetings a year can be expected. We offer comprehensive induction and role development support. We are committed to equal opportunities.
