We were formed in April 2003 when Carrick Housing Association and South Ayrshire Homes came together. Our governance structure is based on a partnership between our tenants and Ayrshire’s communities. Our tenants and communities constituencies have 6 places each on the Board. We have a close working relationship with South Ayrshire Council on whose initiative our predecessor South Ayrshire Homes was formed in 1998.
Our day to day operations are handled by a committed staff team of 28 from our office in Ayr. We are committed to the development of all who work for us. You can find details about working with us here.
We are a company limited by guarantee (no: 185652) and a Scottish charity (no: SC 027906). Registered as a Social Landlord (no: 304), our performance as a landlord is monitored by the Scottish Housing Regulator. Please read how they relate to us in their Engagement Plan. You can also see all the information it holds about us here.
We produce a comprehensive Company Profile for all who are interested in our work. You should find plenty of information about us on this website including all our key policies. Our Publications Scheme conforms to guidance from the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations.
All our tenants are automatically members. We also welcome membership from anyone in the wider community who supports our work, find out more.
