2005 Garden Competition Winners

April 20, 2005 | No comments

Our annual competition goes from strength to strength. As in previous years, we had a number of categories including gardens, containers, window boxes and best kept closes.

Entries were judged on their appearance, care and attention and originality.

This year’s winner John Stewart of Ayr was presented with an engraved spade as a prize from our then Chair, Margaret Scott and Board member Charlie Donnelly. John who is deaf and partially sighted lives with his mother at Mossgiel Place, Forehill, Ayr . His garden backs onto last year’s winner, Ulrich Klein (below) so Mossgiel Place is obviously worth a visit by aspiring gardeners.

Mr & Mrs McLarty and Mrs McCrorie both from Ballantrae were delighted to be Joint Runners- Up.

All entries this year received a certificate of commendation and gift vouchers to spend.

We would like to thank all our tenants who participated and encourage all our keen gardeners to keep up the good work, we look forward to judging your garden entries next year!
