Dalmilling, Thornyflat Place, Ayr – opening

August 7, 2006 | No comments

On the 6th August, 2004 local Councillor Alex Cairns opened Ayrshire Housing’s latest 40 house development in Ayr. The scheme consists of 40 two and three bedroomed houses. Many of the houses are designed on life time home principles to accommodate changing needs, including wheelchair use. Two houses have been designed in conjunction with South Ayrshire Council’s social work department to accommodate the needs of individuals leaving residential care. These houses have an extra bedroom for the tenant’s carer.

The project cost £3.4millions and was supported by a grant from Communities Scotland of £2.3 milliions.

Design and Build by Dawn Homes with Carricks, Architects.

Dawn Homes are completing a further 20 houses for sale to create a mixed tenure estate within the North Ayr Social Inclusion Partnership area.
