Corton Howe, Doonholm, Ayr

June 23, 2007 | No comments

On Friday 2 February 2007, a delighted Mrs Rhona Brodie (pictured) was welcomed by Ayrshire Housing and fellow new tenants to her new home.

This development of 20 houses was made possible by our close partnership with South Ayrshire Council through which additional affordable housing sites are being generated through the planning system.

The cost of the project was just over £2m and this was funded by a £1.6m Communities Scotland grant and borrowings from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

The scheme was built by Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd to a design from Austin-Smith:Lord.

Development units:

  • 12 no 3 apartment, 4 person houses
  • 8 no 4 apartment, 6 person houses (all life time homes standard)
