On 5 October 2007, Councillor Kathy Morrice, East Ayrshire Council’s Spokesperson for Community Wellbeing, opened this development in this attractive village

Councillor Morrice (centre left) welcomed Miss Dale McMaster (centre right) to her new home. She said “I’m pleased to open this attractive development which brings much needed new housing to the village. I wish to commend the close partnership between Ayrshire Housing and East Ayrshire Council”.

The scheme was procured through a partnership with Ayrshire housebuilder Hope Homes who also built 14 houses for sale on the site which was previously occupied by an old waterworks.

Contractor: Hope (Southwest) Ltd

Development units:

  • 4 No. 2 person 1 bedroom houses
  • 4 No. 4 person 2 bedroom houses (2 to wheelchair standard)
  • 4 No. 6 person 3 bedroom houses
    (2 to wheelchair standard)
