Ayrshire Housing’s latest development – the renewal of the former Roman Catholic cathedral in Ayr to provide much needed new housing – is well underway.
The housing association is committed to fostering community links through its contractors. So builder Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd has teamed up with its supplier Jewson and landscapers Dalcon to enhance the play facilities of the local Cherry Tree Nursery School.
In celebration, the Cherry Tree weans have just released balloons over the cathedral site as well as having a chance to see the progress of the works.
When complete in November, 25 new houses for rent will be available behind the retained east gable and tower of the listed former cathedral building.
