The Conservation Volunteers’ (TCV) Green Gym is a health initiative offering individuals an outdoor alternative to conventional gyms. They have the chance to increase their physical activity levels through direct involvement in practical conservation work. Ayrshire Housing is pleased to have worked with the local Green Gym to re-stock the planters at its Lochside development in Ayr. The planting was also sponsored by Nurseries Direct.
Lisa Ferguson, TCV Scotland’s Volunteer Development Officer says “ It was quite a wet day for it but we got all the planters at Lochside spruced up! The lovely manager at Nurseries Direct gave us a load of free plants, this really helped to fill the beds”.
