We are committed to doing all we can to assist applicants and tenants who are experiencing domestic abuse. So we have signed up to the Make a Stand campaign led by leading housing and women’s groups.
• We have introduced basic awareness training for front line staff.
• We recognise that way in which domestic abuse is approached needs to be different and separate from how anti social behaviour is dealt with.
• People – mainly women – who say they are experiencing domestic abuse should be believed.
