Repairs

Here the arrangements that we have put in place to prioritise repairs during the Coronavirus pandemic. Check this page regularly for changes.

We are prioritising the following repairs so as to maintain a level of service subject to the current public health restrictions. We are not be able to carry out most routine repairs for the time being.

Emergency Repairs (including gas emergencies) where there is a hazard to life, health and safety, or a potential for extensive damage.

  • Burst pipes
  • No heating
  • No water supplies
  • No lighting or power supply
  • Unsecure external door
  • Blocked toilet or leaking foul drain
  • Toilet not flushing (where only toilet in the property)
  • Broken windows
  • Unsafe power or electrical sockets of fitting

We will endeavour to tackle the above repairs even if you are or your family are self-isolating. This is subject to the health and safety of everyone being assured.

Priority Repairs

  • Blocked sink bath or basin
  • No hot water
  • Loose or detached bannister or handrail
  • Leaks from water or heating pipes
  • Partial loss of water supply
  • Unsafe flooring or stair treads
  • Partial loss of heating
  • Gas boiler servicing

To report any emergency repairs please phone 01292 885568 (during office hours). Outwith these hours contact Gas Sure 01294 468113. It may help if you email us a photograph or video of the defect you want repaired. This will reduce the need for prior inspections. These should be emailed to repairs@ayrshirehousing.org.uk.

We will not be able to carry out any priority repairs to households who are self-isolating, only emergencies will be carried out in this case. Please be aware that the contractor will provide instructions for you to follow before considering entering your home.
